The San Juan Moon Bag is made fabric hand woven on the backstrap loom by the San Juan Weavers Group in the Guatemalan highlands. The wide, comfortable strap can be worn across the chest or on the shoulder. 100% cotton, lined, zipper closure, two inside pockets one zip, one cell phone. Machine washable in cold water on the gentle cycle, air dry. The San Juan Weavers Group is made up of Tzutujil women who weave using backstrap Ikat, an ancient labor intensive technique of hand tying and dying threads in elaborate patterns. Their style of weaving uses textured cotton thread which softens with each washing.
Size: 11 inches by 17 inches with a 16 inch long strap that is 3 inches wide.
