The San Juan Weekend Bag is a blend of indigenous weaving technique and contemporary design concepts. Made from sturdy, backstrap woven San Juan textile. It has two lined outside pockets with zippers and one main zipper pocket on top for cosmetics or valuables. The San Juan Weavers Group is made up of Tzutujil women who weave using backstrap Ikat, an ancient labor intensive technique of hand tying and dying threads in elaborate patterns. Their style of weaving uses textured cotton thread which softens with each washing.
Size: 7 1/4 in. wide by 6 tall with a 46 in. strap.
