The MBB 319 comes with a waterproof faceplate as well as a separate box, functioning as the \"brain\" of the unit, that can be placed anywhere! This allows you to install the black box in a water-protected area to eliminate the potential problem of water intrusion. Because the faceplate is separate there is little to no depth restrictions! Many individuals are also interested in bringing along their iPod or USB; rather than having to bring a CD, so we designed the MBB319 with no CD mechanism. Instead, it?s equipped with a USB and Aux-in to plug in either an MP3 player or a variety of other types of portable media.
