Handmade Fabric Doll Box

These four wonderful Cloth Boxes were handmade by Indian artisans and feature an authentic Fabric Doll sewn on the beaded polka-dot lid. Wonderfully whimsical and adorably cute they are perfect for holding your intimate treasures or as an elegant gift box.
The fabric dolls have a hand drawn smiling face of an Indian woman boasting a tiny bindi on her forehead. The traditional bindi is applied over the forehead chakra, a center of bodily and spiritual energy in Hindu belief. The bindi is believed to prevent the loss of "energy", as well as bringing spiritual protection against demons or bad luck.
The dolls are constructed from ribbon and cloth over a small died piece of rattan and finished with several small gold colored beads. The boxes are finished inside and out in your choice of either pink or yellow and are padded on the inside bottom and the lid to protect even the most delicate of your prize possessions. Each box measures 3 inches high and are 5 inches across square.
